Network Emulator

A network emulator is a tool that imitates real-world network conditions so you can test how applications, devices, or protocols behave under different scenarios without needing an actual network with those characteristics.

Unlike a simple network simulator, an emulator processes real network traffic while introducing controlled conditions.

Common network conditions that can be emulated include:

  • Latency (delay): Add transmission delays (e.g., 100 ms).
